This Oil has won a Silver Medal at the Olive Oil Contest of Japan Olive Japan 2019.
The eighth edition of the International Extra Virgin Olive Oil Olive Japan 2019 Competition was held from April 3 to 5 in the city of Tokyo.
This contest is organized by The Olive Oil Sommelier Association of Japan (OSAJ), which is the School of Tasters of Olive Oil of Japan.
This contest was launched in 2012 and has become a very influential phenomenon in the sector. In addition to evaluating the products, it serves as a link between producers, importers and consumers. Olive Japan is a great opportunity for producers to promote the quality of their products in the Japanese market and to expand their presence in this country.
The tasting panel was made up of 26 international professional judges, coming from a total of 15 countries.
In this edition, these professionals have judged a total of 701 extra virgin olive oils from 24 countries.
In total, 9 Prizes have been awarded as Best of 2019, 179 Gold Medals and 288 Silver Medals.
The winners were announced on April 12 and the awards ceremony will be held at the Olive Japan Show 2019 on July 21.
