Beneficial effects of olive oil:

  • Circulation: reduces cholesterol & helps prevent arterioesclerosis and it risks.
  • Digestive system: it improves stomach and páncreas function together with hepatobilier & intestinal levels.
  • Skin: it protects and tones the epidermis.
  • Endocrinal system: it improves metabolic functions.
  • Bone: it stimulates growth and improves absorbtion of calcium & minerals.

The studies carried out by nutricional experts clearly show that in the Mediterranean countries have lower % of colesterol, lower rate of heart attacks and lower rates of death from cancer than in other countries, this is largely due to eating habbits.

For this reason the ‘Mediterranean Diet’ has become so important and olive oil a fundamental part of this, as shown in pyramid of the Mediterranean diet.
